Hoolie brings a mix of strategy, operating, and investing experience across a variety of industries, including technology, media/entertainment, education and financial services. Prior to joining OV, Hoolie was at Bain & Co. where he focused on private equity, technology and digital media, advising both investors and management. Hoolie was the first COO of Pencils of Promise, an international education organization, where he helped scale the early team and global operations. Today, PoP has built over 400 primary schools serving over 70,000 students across Laos, Nicaragua, Guatemala, and Ghana. He started his career at Deloitte where he managed large, globally distributed technology teams. Hoolie received his MBA from MIT Sloan, where he was on the winning team of the MIT $100K Competition, and holds a B.S. in Information Sciences from Penn State.
