Berna Ulman is Executive Director for South Eastern Europe at Visa since 2008. She is responsible for delivering Visa’s strategies and business growth in 9 markets comprising of Turkey, Israel, Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Slovenia and Malta. Prior to her current role, Ms Ulman was Visa’s General Manager for Turkey, where she was responsible for leading Visa’s business development and relationship management with client banks. Berna Ulman is a senior executive with over 30 years of professional experience in payments and finance, including 18 years at Visa. She has joined Visa in 2000 from Koç Finans where she served as Vice President in charge of Systems Planning and progressed to Vice President in charge of Credit Cards. Earlier in her career, she has held a number of management consultancy roles in various companies in the U.S. between 1987 and 1995. Ms. Ulman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Bosphorus University and a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Tennessee. She has also completed an Extended Studies Program on EU Relations at Bilgi University. Berna Ulman is also a Trustee and Board Director in the Health & Education Foundation (SEV).
