When managing the Willa incubator- where she supported 450 start-ups led by women- she saw the barriers and obstacles that women may face and wanted to act to change this unfair observation : the digital revolution causes disruption in many fields, except in gender-equality. Today, worldwide, women are still under-represented and under-funded in the Tech ecosystem
Caroline Ramade started 50inTech in order to bring revolution in the global industry and empower women at scale.
She’s a woman of strong conviction and action. She doesn’t want to let the future be built by leaving 50% of the population behind. She’s convinced It is time to speed things up, move to the next level and take action. It is not a question of charity, it is a major social and economic challenge - for an example a 50/50 mix in technology would increase Europe's GDP by €9 billion.
