Yen-Po (Harvey) Chin, MD is one of the inaugural Harvard HealthTech Fellow, and the Cofounder of two MedTech companies, AESOP Technology and DermAI Co. AESOP Technology has developed a machine learning-based prescription error prevention system and has been selected to join the venture incubation program at Harvard Innovation Labs, additionally backed by Berkeley Skydeck (UC Berkeley). DermAI Co. is an AI-50-campaign-selected company that creates smartphone-compatible AI applications for melanoma screening and personalized skincare advice.
Harvey is a former physician at Taipei Medical University Hospital, an awardee of a National Innovation Award in Clinical Medicine, a McKinsey Scholar (McKinsey and Company), and a mentor of MIT Hacking Medicine. He is on the 2020 Forbes 30 under 30 Asia list (Healthcare & Science) and holds patents related to an AI application and a blockchain-based trading platform.
Harvey received his doctor of medicine degree from National Yang-Ming University, Taiwan, and his postdoctoral masters’ of biomedical informatics degree from Harvard Medical School. Outside of work, he enjoys watching NBA games (a die-hard Boston Celtics fan) and spending time with friends and family.
